Painting has long been a hobby of mine. I had no idea it would turn into a career. The first pet painting was for a friends birthday, not long after that I secured my first commission.

I set myself a goal to paint every single day. Today it’s Felix, a dog from Hong Kong who was rescued after being thrown out like trash…😭

I had a lot of fun painting him, I adore painting white, cream and beige animals because there are so many beautiful colours that bounce off their fur.

I used masking fluid to block out the areas of the painting that I wanted to remain white. I then used the wet on wet technique to apply different colours to the fur and sallow the paint to move and blend together.

This technique gives the illusion of soft fur.
