Painting a cat

When you think of the word “successful,” who’s the first person that comes to mind and why?

My favourite artist, and someone I admire is Quentin Blake. Not only because his illustrations are incredible, but because he isn’t afraid to step outside of the norm and celebrate his own style.

I personally take a lot of inspiration from his work. Note that he uses a lot of mid-tones. Even his fine art pieces are simple and don’t necessarily follow β€˜the rules’.

Every now and then I like to play and experiment with something new. This cat was just that. I adore the blend of realism in the eyes and Impressionism in the fur.

My green eyed cat is available to purchase on my eBay store. There are no prints, it is the one and only original.
